We came to Seri Pusaka after my father passed without a clear will, and the family had spent nearly two years in disagreement about how his assets should be divided. By that point, we were not looking for more legal documents — we were looking for someone who would listen without making the situation worse.
The Heritage Consultation gave us exactly that. We left with a written summary that set out the situation clearly and indicated the paths available. It was the first time in two years we had a document that the whole family could agree described things accurately. We have since engaged Seri Pusaka for the will drafting.

I had a will drafted some years ago by a general practice, and it was done in two meetings over a week. I did not fully understand what the document said, and I was not given time to ask questions properly. When I came to Seri Pusaka to have it revised, the process was quite different.
The draft came to me in sections, with explanations I could actually read. I took three weeks between the first draft and my comments, and there was no pressure to return sooner. The finished document was one I understood and felt settled about. I did find the process took a little longer than I expected, though I accept that was partly my own pace.

My husband and I wanted to prepare a wasiat but were uncertain about how the faraid rules would apply to some of our assets. We had spoken to two other solicitors before Seri Pusaka, and neither had been able to explain it clearly in a way that made sense for our actual situation.
Norzahra at Seri Pusaka spent a good part of the consultation explaining the distinctions, and we received a written note afterwards that we could read at our own pace. The wasiat was prepared with care, and she was patient when we had further questions after seeing the first draft.

We enrolled in the Generational Estate Programme after trying, unsuccessfully, to have a family discussion about our estate for almost a year. The estate map was the thing that finally gave us a shared document to talk about. Before that, every conversation started from a different set of assumptions. We are still in the programme, but the early phases have already moved us further than we managed on our own.

I came for a Heritage Consultation after my mother expressed her wishes clearly but had no document to support them. The consultation was straightforward — I brought some property documents and a rough note of what she wanted, and we had a calm discussion. The written summary was clear and helped me explain to my siblings what the options were. I had expected to feel pressured to start a full engagement immediately; that did not happen.

My parents have assets in three different categories — a family property, some shares from my father's business, and accounts held in different names. Lim Mei Shan was the first solicitor who sat down and went through each category separately and explained how each one would need to be handled in the estate. The will she drafted for my father was the most clearly structured document he had seen on his own affairs in years.
